Million Dollar Dreams
|
Do you ever dream about what would happen if you won the lottery? That’s plenty of inspiration for such daydreams online and in the news. Whenever I see a sweepstakes winner video, I become lost in my own ideas about what I would personally do if I suddenly had all that money. Imagine! The first thing I would do is quit my job. It’s ok for a job, but I could use some free time. It would be amazing to know that I could spend each and every day doing exactly what I want to do and not have to worry about finances. I have never had that freedom before! Very few people do ever get the chance to live so freely. It’s a simple fact of not having money. Housing, food, clothing and transportation alone cost plenty. Put health care on top of that and most people are in debt. Plus, these days, massive student loans are the norm if you’ve gone to any sort of higher education. It’s a horrible situation most people are in; frozen by a lack of funds. After quitting my job, I would get down to the business of setting my finances straight. Paying off debts and fees will take some time. I think most people don’t realize how much logistical stuff has to be taken care of after you suddenly win millions of dollars. This bit of sensible advice has perhaps been enforced by my accountant boyfriend. He listens to my daydreams and comes up with investing plans to make sure our money works for us once we win it. Next, I would travel. If I can live anywhere in the world, I need to see lots of places before I decided where I really want to settle down. It is not everyone’s couple of tea, but I have always been the type of person who would love nothing more than to pick up one day and all of a sudden move to Europe. I love the idea of global travel and living abroad! Having millions of dollars would finally make it possible to explore the world. Once I’ve seen plenty, I can start thinking about where I would like to have my home base. Or, of course, I could more than one house! How lovely would it be to have a place in France and a place in LA? However, it’s not all dreaming. I play the lottery every week. Some people think its silly or a waste of money to enter big sweepstakes such as these, but it is my way of inviting the universe to give me a fortune.
